On September 15th 2024, Carlyon Bay SLSC members aged 5 to 50+ will be paddling 21 miles on rescue boards at Crinnis beach to raise money for new equipment.
We're raising funds to buy 'transition boards', which are race/rescue boards designed for young people between 12 & 16. These boards are vital for our Graduate Lifeguard program, where over three years our youth members learn all the skills needed to become qualified professional lifeguards, opening up employment possibilities, as well as being of significant value to UCAS & other schemes.
As a charity run by volunteers, we are reliant on fundraisers like this to keep us open, and to allow us to spread the knowledge & skills of lifesaving to local people of all ages!
